HOW MUCH WILL IT COST TO PURCHASE THE PARTS TO BUILD MY OWN SINK?

Your cost from 1 trip to Lowes (or equivalent), 1 trip to Walmart, and specialty parts found online will cost you around $800.

WHAT TOOLS WILL I NEED TO BUILD MY OWN SINK?

You’ll need the following

  • *Saw (preferably a miter saw for cutting the boards)

  • Drill with Phillips head bit

  • Large Flat head screwdriver

  • *1-inch wood drill bit

  • *Sharp knife

  • Caulking Gun

  • Wire cutters

  • Tape Measure

  • Pencil

* Applies to those purchasing all of the materials for the sink on your own. Does Not apply those who have purchased a Sink Kit as these boards have already been pre-cut and drilled and the hoses have been pre-cut to size.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO BUILD A SINK?

If I had all the parts in front of me, I could build it in one day. You’ll watch me do it in the step-by-step videos. With or without an assistant, I’m sure you can put this together in one weekend. But there’s no need to rush if it’s the off season.

If you purchased a Sink Kit, your time will be less because many of the steps have been completed already.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF BUILDING A SINK MYSELF?

Big savings on labor and shipping costs. Plus, you’ll know how it works and how to fix it if problems arise.

WHY IS THERE AN OPEN DESIGN OF THE CABINET?

First, it is not a requirement to have a closed cabinet. Second, there are several advantages to the open design:

  • Lower construction cost

  • Easy access to equipment

  • Easy to clean

The design of the cabinet allows you to close the front, if you wish, with several options (doors, solid panel, curtain, company banner, etc).
